Hello! My name is Micheal Lanz, and I am a local photographer and owner of Green Hopper Photo LLC.
I am currently expanding my wedding photography work throughout Portland and the surrounding Oregon communities, and I wanted to introduce myself and learn more about how your venue works with photographers and wedding vendors.
Green Hopper Photo LLC is a licensed and insured photography business, and I would love the opportunity to be considered as a photography resource for couples who are looking for a photographer.

Hi, I’m Micheal, the photographer behind Green Hopper Photo LLC.
I’ve been behind a camera since the 1980s, beginning with film photography and eventually making the transition to digital. After more than 35 years of photographing people, places, animals, and the moments that make life meaningful, I’ve learned that great photography isn’t simply about having the right camera.
It’s about seeing.
It’s about noticing the quiet moments, the genuine expressions, the little details, and the connections between people that might otherwise be forgotten.

My approach to wedding photography is relaxed, attentive, and personal. I want you to feel comfortable being yourselves while I document the emotions, relationships, details, and unexpected moments that make your wedding uniquely yours.
I’ll help when you need direction, but I also know when to step back and let the moment happen naturally.
Whether it’s a joyful laugh, a quiet moment between newlyweds, a parent seeing their child dressed for the first time, or everyone dancing together at the reception, those are the moments I want to preserve.

Over the years, my photography experience has included weddings, portraits, senior portraits, pets, products, nature, wildlife, landscapes, events, and artistic photography.
I’ve also had the opportunity to work professionally as a staff photographer and as a volunteer photographer, experiences that have helped me develop both my technical skills and my ability to work comfortably with people.
I use professional Nikon photography equipment along with professional editing tools to carefully process and refine your images.
But the most important part of my work isn’t the equipment.
